Meet the groomer
Hello I'm Lexie and our Senior Pet Stylist is Bonnie
Grooming by a Certified and Experienced Dog and Cat Groomer and Qualified Vet Nurse.
We will keep your pet looking and smelling great with your pets' health and comfort in mind.
We care for you and your pet :)
Veterinary Nurse with certification in Grooming. 8 years experience.
My passion is Grooming!
I raise money for the RSPCA, Cat Haven and SAFE.
My Positive Grooming Environment:
My service is unlike some busy parlours' where your dog/cat is Groomed by different groomers, your dog will be groomed by one groomer in the day. I feel that I have a better bond with your pet by being it's only Groomer. All cats are of course caged when finished so they are kept safe. I try and groom cats seperate from dogs to keep them calm and comfortable, you are asked to stay with your cat, as different from dogs, are calmer with owner present where dogs are more excitable. Pets are not kept together, to avoid disease and parasites.
This is not a Day Care, Dogs will not be held/caged all day. If you would like this please go somewhere else that does this. Dogs go home as soon as finished to keep pets happy and low grooming times.
I was happy when I started grooming my way and have noticed changes in the dogs I groomed, they like being groomed much more due to the positive environment I have.
Cat Grooming is one on one and I groom cats their first time with you around to keep your cat calm and happy.
I use aromatherapy, patience and nursing knowledge to calm your dog/cat while grooming.
As a Veterinary Nurse I am up to date with first aid of animals and will give your pet the absolute best care young and old and Advice where needed. I would rather a Veterinary nurse groom my pet for incase of accident or health issue may arise, wouldnt you?
My Mission: To see your pet leave tails-a-wagging, have your pet going home feeling clean, comfortable and happy, & for you and your pet to enjoy the grooming process and keep me as your regular Groomer.
To continue to improve my services and knowledge by continued education and experience.
I am willing to work for your business and appreciate my regular customers by my friendly approach and spoiling them at christmas time! :)
I will work with you to have the best experience for your pet and to save you money by teaching you how to look after your pets coat at home.
If you have any questions or need advice, feel free to ask or call when needed

Lexie The Pet Stylist and Cat Groomer:
I was accepted into Certificate 3 in Companion Animal Studies in 2005 and started a grooming traineeship at Melville Vet in April 2005. I then moved to Jandakot Grooming Parlour and continued the training. I completed a certificate in Pet Grooming in November 2005. I then groomed full time until 2007 where I started Certificate 4 in Vet Nursing. I started grooming cats unsedated when I did my first, and loved it! I then Moved to Glen Iris Vet clinic to continue my Nursing training and completed my certificate. At this time in November 2007 I started Happy's Grooming, where I later changed my name to Lexie's Dog and Cat Grooming, due to another grooming parlour named Happy Dog Grooming. I found my dogs were much happier going home as soon as they were finished and most walk into my salon without being asked! I also have purchased much more safety equipment to keep your pet safe while grooming. I then in 2010 completed my Nursing Qualification.
Currently studying to become a Certified Master Cat Groomer
