Groom your own Dog Course

Learn How to Groom your own dog.

 A one on one course for two, 2 to 3 hour sessions at Lexie's Dog and Cat Grooming Premises.

Mondays only.  Must be pre-booked far in advance.  December not available.

The first session we will groom your dog from start to finish, at your pace, with a pre clip, bath, blowdry and second clip.

You will learn clipping the body to your liking, avoiding cutting the skin, nail clipping, ear cleaning, coat and skin care, trimming of pads, feet, face, ears, tail, bottom, groin, bathing and blowdrying, anal gland expression, de-mating, proper handling, care of equipment, how to hold scissors and clippers correctly.

On the Second session we will do the same, 8 weeks later, teaching you the grooming process start to finish, anything you may have forgotten and any questions you may have.

You will receive worksheets of the grooming process from start to finish, and a 'to-do' list, and a diagram of your dogs grooming. 

Or we can just have a one hour session to teach you to brush your pet properly, bath and blowdry properly and tidy up the face feet and bottom.

During these workshops, you may purchase any items you need through me wholesale price, I will order them from my wholsalers for you, pre-payment is required. (eg Wahl KM2 clippers wholesale $~205, in pet shop $350)

All equipment is supplied, at my premises during this course.  You will need to purchase equipment (wherever you want from) to groom at your home inbetween. 

Price is per hour, average time needed 2 x 2-3 hours for a full groom, (an average yearly grooming fee at a groomers is $348 if you do not DIY)

This is to learn to groom your own dog from start to finish, not for people wanting to groom other's pets.
